Transitions Between Land Uses

Submitted by Phil Poe on Mon, 07/06/2009 - 5:39pm.
  • Comp Plan

As the City becomes more dense, transitions between different uses become extremely important. If strong policies and regulations are not in place and enforced, neighborhoods -- particular the edges of our neighborhoods -- could be adversely impacted. The latest land use map shows that the the most dense development in the City -- the areas coded in brown --  can occur along the southern and eastern borders of the Five Points CAC.

Click here to view the latest draft for transitions in the Comp Plan. This will be an important discussion item at the meeting.

Brown areas are referred to as the Central Business District, the most dense area on the map.
